Rob Sackett

With experience counseling substance abuse, depression, anxiety, compulsive behavior, trauma, spiritual and faith issues, adjustment, and occupational stress, Rob works with men and women, teenagers, adults, and senior adults. Rob is available to work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, troubled behaviors, trauma, spiritual struggles, and occupational challenges. Men who have been resistant in the past to the concept of therapeutic counseling often find success with Rob.

Building on more than a decade of experience that includes professional counseling in both secular and faith settings, Rob’s work focuses on the client’s interpersonal awareness and care. Recognizing first what is happening internally, Rob works with clients to identify and tend to the source of experiences, hurts, or pain. Throughout, Rob respects the beautiful intricacies that give us individuality and strength.

Rob believes that growth is continuous and as goals are achieved, new goals are to be set, assisting his client in their journey to thrive. Believing that treatment success begins by listening to the individual’s story—no two stories are the same—Rob explores the details that have culminated in the client’s current circumstances, including their pain, stress, emotional, and psychological struggle. The therapeutic relationship is strengthened through trust, awareness, and support. In short, Rob journeys with the individual through their experiences.

When not in the office, you are likely to find Rob on his bike, on or near the water, or walking his dog Coltrane around the city.

Please note: Rob is not taking new clients at this time
